dump and bake meatball casserole



1 (16 oz) package cavatapi pasta, uncooked

1 (25 oz) jar marinara sauce

3 cups water

1 (14 oz) package cooked meatballs

1 1/2 cups Mozzarella cheese, grated

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated


Preheat oven to 425°F.
Add the uncooked pasta, marina sauce, water, and meatballs to a 9×13-inch baking dish and stir to combine. Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
Uncover dish, stir, and check to see if pasta is al dente. If it’s still hard, cover dish again and continue baking until pasta is cooked.
Once pasta is al dente, uncover dish, sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top and bake until cheese is melted, 5-10 minutes more.
